- 400 g lean mince beef
- 1 egg
- Salt & Pepper
- Clove of garlic
- 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
- 1 yellow pepper
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 2 tsp Italian herbs
- In a bowl combine mince beef, egg, garlic and season with salt and pepper and form into 12 small balls.
- In a frying pan, brown chopped onion with garlic then add meatballs. Once meatballs are brown add pepper and fry for 3 minutes. Then add chopped tomatoes and Italian herbs and simmer on med-low heat for 12-14 minutes or until the meat is cooked through and pepper is soft.
- In a meantime, cook up your portions of Dr Zak’s pasta so that it is ready at the same time as the sauce.
